Warm Up
Work on your Unit 3 test corrections. Hand them in when complete. Also, check out your mark (see my home page for the link) - see me if you have any questions.
If finished make sure you have saved a piece of work in your drop box, try changing the name of the file and moving it so it is in the class folder. Next try to move up a few levels on "Dragon Box", then practice any of the first three levels of Khan Academy that you will find under "unit 4" in the tab above "video tutorials and practice".
Lesson
Today we will look at solving and graphing two variable equations. First a quick activity on graphing pairs of points. You and your partner will get a piece of rope. We will be making a chart with the number of knots vs the length - starting with 0 knots. Try and tie 10 knots, then graph the results. We will discuss your findings.
Next download this puzzle and save the completed puzzle in your class dropbox: graphing puzzle 1 . Make sure you shrink the page and show work on the side. Show clearly the work for #3, 6 and 8, even if you need to use the next slide. Also download and complete (and place into drop box) graphing puzzle 2. You must show clear work for the first and last question to get full HW credit.
If finished early and you want bonus points, go to "class files" and select and work on one of the problems of the week.
Wrap Up
Homework will be the 2 puzzles and you should also have mastered the first Khan Academy lesson (from my Unit 4 outline list).
